Registered Technologist Mammographer

Job Details Job Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 20 Job Summary St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Technologist Mammographer for our Mammography Department. The role performs breast imaging services and other Women’s imaging services in the Center for Women’s Wellness, respecting patient dignity and privacy, and meeting patients’ need for accurate information in an unhurried, responsive manner. The technologist demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. Job Description Explains procedure to patients and encourages questions while performing Mammography/DXA/Interventional procedures, using positive verbal and non-verbal communication to ensure patient satisfaction. Prepares digital and DXA equipment for daily/weekly QC tests at appropriate intervals. Assists radiologist in interventional breast procedures. Obtains high quality images and minimizes radiation through quality positioning and techniques per MQSA and ACR guidelines. Accurately documents and maintains proper QC books for all rooms, maintaining a repeat rate below the National average of 4% or less per room. Assists Clinical Engineering and PACS administrators when necessary. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager/supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned. Education, Credentials, Licenses Graduate of an AMA school of Radiologic Technology. Registered Radiologic Technologist required (ARRT). Licensed in the state where work is performed. Maintain CEU’s as required by State & National levels. Mammogram certification required within 1 year after orientation/training is complete.
