We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist to support multiple manufacturing and industrial customer accounts throughout the Brookville, PA region. The VMI Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring customers maintain optimal inventory levels, operational efficiency, and uninterrupted production flow. This position combines inventory management, customer service, logistics coordination, and field-based account support within industrial and manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage on-site Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and storeroom operations for manufacturing and industrial customers
  • Deliver, receive, stock, replenish, and organize industrial products, tools, equipment, and MRO supplies
  • Monitor customer inventory levels and proactively coordinate replenishment to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock reconciliations to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy
  • Track and manage open orders, backorders, and delivery schedules to support customer satisfaction and on-time fulfillment
  • Utilize ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office tools to maintain accurate inventory and reporting data
  • Generate and distribute inventory reports, usage analysis, and replenishment documentation as required
  • Build strong relationships with customer personnel through consistent communication, responsiveness, and service support
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe storeroom environments while following company and customer safety procedures
  • Work independently across multiple customer sites while effectively communicating operational updates, issues, and recommendations to leadership

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within manufacturing, industrial distribution, warehouse, inventory, or supply chain environments
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory control software, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems preferred
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in customer-facing environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service mindset
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to lift materials and work within manufacturing environments including exposure to dust, oils, machinery, and industrial shop conditions
