Electrical Maintenance Services Supervisor

Position Overview Full salary range: $84,100.00 - $154,700.00 annually. Expected pay scale up to $140,000.00 annually. The Electrical Maintenance Services Supervisor oversees the electrical skilled trades and staff within the Maintenance Services unit of Facilities Services, performing work and projects requiring skilled electrical and high voltage maintenance, construction, retrofit, repair, and tenant improvements throughout the campus community. Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance, repair, installation or modification of industrial electrical systems and manage the maintenance and operation of the campus primary and secondary distribution systems. Develop and monitor a preventative maintenance program, ensuring clear and accurate documentation of all inspections, testing and maintenance performed. Provide direct supervision to trade staff by assigning and directing daily work assignments, reviewing work for quality and completion, monitoring work orders and closing out completed work orders. Coordinate utility shutdowns, ensuring communication and notices are provided to impacted customers and minimizing impact to customers. Review plans, specifications and requisitions for projects to establish daily, weekly and long-range work schedules. Obtain and maintain stock inventory of parts, materials and equipment required for timely project completion. Coordinate, facilitate and monitor safety and technical training programs, ensuring safety procedures are followed and maintained. Promote and maintain a strong customer-service-focused environment and cooperative teamwork philosophy within the unit. Manage daily operational administration and personnel management, including staffing, hiring, training, disciplinary action, termination and performance management. Maintain knowledge of building and safety codes, hazardous material handling and disposal, and labor contracts; provide operational support to other Facilities Services units as necessary.
