Step into an impactful role supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students as a School Psychologist. Located just outside Garland, TX, this contract position offers the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to build a healthy, thriving school environment.
Applicants should bring strong knowledge of assessment techniques, child development, and evidence-based intervention strategies. Your insights will be key in identifying student needs, leading comprehensive evaluations, and supporting educational teams in implementing plans for success.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and report writing
- Familiarity with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Strong communication, organizational, and consultation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify academic and behavioral strengths and needs among students
- Develop and present individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with team members
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support for students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding strategies to improve student outcomes
- Deliver professional development to staff and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Maintain confidential, accurate records, and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines
