CEI Inspector Aide

CEI Inspector AideAECOM is currently seeking a CEI Inspector Aide to support a variety of transportation design-build projects throughout the Fort Myers, FL area. This role will assist with inspection activities on roadway and transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring construction work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable standards.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructionsAssist higher-level inspectors with field inspection activities and project supportRely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobWork under immediate supervision and report findings to senior inspection staffMonitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements by performing inspection dutiesPerform daily field inspections and maintain accurate, detailed inspection recordsParticipate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning activitiesTrack quality assurance progress and document inspection resultsProvide input to documentation for area and equipment turnoversDocument project conditions through photographs and visual records as directedVerify materials, equipment, and deliverables meet project specifications prior to installationCommunicate inspection findings and potential issues to project management and contractorsMonitor and report on safety compliance and adherence to project safety protocolsMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentValid U.S Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewDue to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions experienceFDOT Intermediate MOT - Must obtain within the first six months of the assignment*Relevant certifications are essential for ongoing advancement and enhanced opportunities for assignments*Occasional overnight work and/or assignments outside of employee's primary location may be requiredSponsorship is not available for this position.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
