Role Description This full-time, on-site Physical Therapist Assistant role is based at Fallsview Rehabilitation & Nursing in Boonton, NJ. The Physical Therapist Assistant will support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering evidence-based rehabilitation services, including assisting with treatment sessions, therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities. Responsibilities include following established care plans, monitoring patient responses, documenting treatments and progress, and communicating observations to the therapy and nursing teams. The role involves educating patients and families on exercises, safety, and mobility techniques, as well as helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment. The Physical Therapist Assistant will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to promote quality patient care, functional independence, and positive outcomes. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation within a skilled nursing or similar setting. Strong commitment to Patient Care and delivery of Quality Patient Care, including safety, dignity, and respect. Experience or interest in Orthopedics, including post-surgical and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, is preferred. Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of New Jersey. Ability to follow treatment plans, accurately document services, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team. Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload. Capacity to perform the physical demands of the role, including assisting with transfers, ambulation, and therapeutic activities.
