This role focuses on electrical systems design and power distribution, supporting projects from concept through manufacturing and commissioning.This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for candidates with 5–15 years of experience in electrical design and a strong interest in large-scale infrastructure or data centers.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review electrical designs, drawings, and documentation for data center modulesDesign and support power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and cable tray layoutsPrepare key engineering deliverables such as single-line diagrams, load lists, and cable sizingCollaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure designs meet project and code requirementsReview vendor drawings and technical submittals (experience is a strong plus)Support preparation of technical requisitions and equipment specificationsAssist with material take-offs (MTOs) and bills of materials (BOMs)Partner with manufacturing teams to support build and resolve design issuesProvide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshootingParticipate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of productsCandidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship.Qualifications And Experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering5–15 years of electrical design experienceStrong experience with:Switchgear, transformers, and cable tray design/layoutElectrical system design and documentationSolid Experience with power distribution systems (panels, UPS systems a plus)Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.)Experience with CAD or 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)Experience reviewing or working with vendor drawings/submittals preferredStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborate across teamsCandidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorshipNice to HaveData center, industrial, or mission-critical facility experienceExperience in modular or prefabricated systemsEIT or PE certification (not required)#LI-ER1 .ALL APPLICANTS FOR U.S. ROLES MUST CAREFULLY READ ALL THE SUPPLEMENTAL U.S. SPECIFIC INFORMATION LISTED BELOW.SLB is committed to a culture where everyone feels like they belong.
