Compensation Range

Hourly: $20.00 - $20.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The Commercial Banking Summer Intern will support business development, prospecting, marketing, and relationship management efforts across the Indiana and Cincinnati commercial banking markets. The intern will spend the first portion of the summer working alongside the Indiana team before transitioning to the Cincinnati market after the July 4 holiday. This role provides hands-on exposure to commercial banking, business development strategies, client acquisition efforts, and relationship management. The intern will work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) and product partners to help identify new business opportunities, coordinate prospect outreach campaigns, and support market expansion initiatives.

The summer internship session will begin on Tuesday, May 18, 2027 , and will run for 11 weeks , ending on Friday, July 30, 2027 . Internships are paid, full-time opportunities with a Monday through Friday work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct prospect research using internal CRM platforms, ZoomInfo, professional networks, and other approved resources.

• Identify potential commercial banking opportunities and assist with lead generation efforts.

• Support business development campaigns by helping plan and coordinate client and prospect drop day activities.

• Assist with the development of prospecting strategies, territory plans, and calling routes.

• Prepare and send introductory correspondence, marketing materials, and outreach letters on behalf of Relationship Managers.

• Make initial outreach calls and emails to targeted prospects as directed by the banking team.

• Maintain and update prospect information within CRM systems.

• Collaborate with Indiana and Cincinnati banking teams to support market coverage and business development initiatives.

• Accompany Relationship Managers and product partners on client and prospect meetings.

• Provide administrative and project support related to marketing campaigns, prospecting efforts, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable making calls and conducting outreach to prospective clients.

• Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Interest in banking, sales, relationship management, and business development.
