Must-Have: 5 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy is required; 1 year of previous travel experience preferred; flexibility is essential.

Description: Unit provides varied treatments per day depending on patient volume. The volume can range from 5 to 30 treatments. Average procedural counts are at least 20. Candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, and RRT certifications. PALS and NRP certifications are preferred. Experience in Respiratory Therapy must include adults, pediatrics, and neonates. Ideal candidates should be able to work independently and hit the ground running. Weekend availability is preferred, with a requirement to cover gaps as needed. Willingness to work all holidays is necessary for this role. Call is not mandatory but may be required on weekends if short-staffed. Travelers should be prepared to float to various floors as needed. Assignments will be based on procedural workload to ensure fairness. Duties include performing EKGs, managing ventilators, administering breathing treatments, and collecting ABGs. Cleaning and equipment turnover is also required. Candidates must be proficient with the electronic medical record system. A one-day floor-specific orientation is necessary before beginning. The facility is a smaller hospital with a diverse patient population. Cancellation policy allows for up to 2 shifts to be canceled during the contract. All applicants must be able to provide care across various patient populations. Every candidate must maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate departmental needs.
