Neurohospitalist opening in Hartford, CT

Position

Seeking BE/BC Inpatient Neurologist to join our team in Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities

• 24 weeks of inpatient coverage per year, defined as a full week 7 AM Monday – 7 AM Monday, including a share of evening call coverage
• Attend general neurology service and/or neurology consult service
• Examine, diagnose, manage, and treat patients with a variety of neurological disorders
• Provide inpatient consultation for neurology patients
• Hands‑on clinical supervision and teaching for residents, students, fellows, and advanced practice providers
• Teach medical students and residents on bedside rounds for the consult and inpatient services
• Participate in neurology didactic sessions, Grand Rounds, and other teaching lectures as appropriate
• Participate in monthly Neurohospitalist Lecture Series
• May engage in clinical research, quality improvement, patient experience initiatives, resident/faculty interviews, and lectures to professional or public audiences – subject to agreement with faculty and Chief of Neurology
• Collaborate with other neurologists and hospital staff including medicine hospitalists and attendings on other services, including various ICUs
• Evaluate and provide consultations/management for patients in the ED and Observation Unit
