Loan Funding Specialist

Position Overview: The Loan Funding Specialist reviews loans from Loan Programs and manages investor reporting, investor relations, loan pools, day-to-day operations, and reporting loan portfolio information. This position will be required to review, fund, and process the funding of all HELOC and Loan Program loans in the organization’s portfolio.

What You Will Do:

• Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy before executing loan closing processes
• Ensure proper documentation of any missing or erroneous information identified
• Conduct a thorough review of full loan documents, including but not limited to loan applications, disclosures, member documentation, and supporting documents
• Provide members with any necessary documentation at closings on all loans
• Ensure full compliance with Vibrant's financial service standards, policies, Bank Secrecy Act, and NCUA rules and regulations
• Maintains effective coordination and communication with loan origination and other servicing departments to ensure efficient processes
• Execute post-funding related processes for fund transfers, pre-authorized payments, titles, document storage and retention, error management
• Complete loan closing processes while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Resolve assigned tickets meeting SLAs
• Work on special projects and assignments as appointed by management
• Assist with proper storage and retention of loan documentation within the content management system
• Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner
• Manage post-closing HELOC workflow
• Assist in reviewing, documenting, and examining loan pools that the organization is looking to purchase, sell, or participate in for future portfolio management
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Finance to provide recommendations on pool purchases and sales dictated by organizational needs
• Responsible for the review and reconciliation of monthly reporting, both received and sent to 3rd party investors and sellers
• Review loans provided by investors for policy and organizational finance requirements
• Manage relationships with loan pool vendors, investors, and buyers
• Communicate with cross departments on the purchase or sale of loan pools
• Research and provide relevant loan pool information for various committees and Vibrant's board reporting
• Facilitate, review, and maintain due diligence information
• Maintain any tracking for exceptions and trailing items and escalate as needed
• Manage Vibrant's core system investor and participation modules within the core banking system

Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years' experience working in consumer loan review, lending, or credit administration
• Understanding of commercial lending practices and collateral documentation
• Experience with core banking systems, phone and ticketing systems, and loan origination platforms
• Working knowledge of compliance and lending laws and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Environmental and Physical Activity Requirements: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The daily responsibilities of this position

constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching and lifting (up to 25 pounds). Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motion activities are also required. Must be able to read print and computer-based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted indoors at controlled degrees of temperature.
