The Role

Our Back of House team members are passionate about food, quality, and teamwork. They prepare dishes from scratch, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and help deliver an exceptional guest experience by following Tatte recipes, food safety standards, and operational excellence. Whether working on the line or supporting the kitchen through dishwashing, every team member plays an important role in the success of our cafés.

Key Responsibilities

We expect our Back of House team members to:

• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings

Ideally, candidates will also have at least 1 year of experience working successfully in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Summary of Line Cooks' Primary Responsibilities

• Execute cooking techniques under the direction of kitchen leadership
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and additional kitchen equipment
• Ensure food and equipment temperatures are maintained correctly
• Set up and break down workstations after and after shifts
• Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, workstations, equipment, and preparation areas
• Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures
• Maintain quality and consistency standards throughout service
• Assist chefs with food preparation and additional culinary tasks as needed
• Other related assignments as necessary

Summary of Dishwashers' Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain proper care and cleanliness of the dishwashing machine and dish area
• Ensure a clean and organized supply of dishware, cookware, utensils, and glassware throughout shifts
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and dishwashing areas
• Support kitchen operations wherever needed
• Other related assignments as necessary

Essential Functions / Working Conditions

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to grasp and reach overhead
• Ability to lift, move, and carry 50+ pounds
• Ability to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day
