Location: San Leandro, CA | San Francisco, CA Shift: Day / Night | 12hr | 36hr/week Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension) Local: $60 - $70/hr. (W2) Travel: $3,095/week ($1,856 Stipend Included)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Postpartum RN to provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns. The RN will be responsible for assessment, monitoring, medication administration, patient education, and coordinating maternal-newborn care throughout the hospital stay.

Job Duties

• Provide comprehensive postpartum and newborn assessments, monitoring, and ongoing patient care.
• Administer medications and IV therapy, perform lab draws, and assist with newborn clinical procedures.
• Monitor maternal and newborn conditions, including cardiac monitoring, fetal monitoring, blood glucose, and vital signs.
• Provide newborn care including heel sticks, venipuncture, pulse oximetry, radiant warmer care, and bilirubin light/blanket management.
• Educate mothers and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, GYN care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning.
• Perform and document urine POC testing, blood glucose testing, I-STAT testing, bladder training, and other required clinical procedures.

Requirements

• Active California RN License.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of Postpartum RN experience within the last 3 years.
