Work Environment

This position is located in a hospital setting, allowing for a collaborative care environment where interdisciplinary teams work together to ensure optimum patient outcomes. The clinic operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet dynamic work environment. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work onsite, directly engaging with patients during their treatment sessions within a supportive and focused team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients in achieving their treatment goals by administering therapeutic exercises, including manual and non-manual activities aimed at enhancing mobility and strength.
• Provide guidance and encouragement to patients during physical activities and when using assistive devices such as crutches, canes, and prosthetics, ensuring they feel empowered in their rehabilitation journey.
• Conduct physical therapy treatments that include massages, traction, hydrotherapy, and the application of physical agents while monitoring patient reactions and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff by documenting patient care services accurately and maintaining comprehensive records within the department.
• Design and recommend home exercise programs suited to each patient's needs, ensuring continuity of care upon discharge and empowering patients to maintain progress independently.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and suggest modifications as necessary to enhance patient outcomes based on observations and patient feedback.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry advancements, enhancing your skills and multidisciplinary approach within the team.

This role primarily focuses on individuals seeking rehabilitation for a variety of physical challenges, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, and injury prevention. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.

Preferred Experience

While a year of experience is required, those with exposure to outpatient rehabilitation settings or experience working with diverse patient populations will find themselves well-equipped to excel in this role. Compensation and Benefits
