About the Position This position is for physicians who wish to establish or transition into an independently operated medical practice with MedCBO’s administrative support. The physician owns and operates the practice; MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support. Job Type Independent Practice Opportunity (not employed). Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO support. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform and implementation. Credentialing, enrollments, and facility privileging coordination. Supply chain and vendor coordination. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets are available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure and applicable regulatory requirements. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice; financial outcomes vary based on specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, clinician activity, and local market conditions.
