Direct Support Professional (Weekdays)

Community Support Services for the Deaf, Inc. Direct Support Professional (Weekdays) Windsor Mill, Maryland • Part-time • $18 hourly Overview DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (Weekdays) for 1:1 and group-based support in a Maryland setting. The role involves assisting Deaf adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, with responsibilities that include evening routines, personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, transportation to medical appointments and activities, and job sites. Supervisory guidance and additional responsibilities are defined in the annual Person-Centered Plan (PCP). Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support most of the time (typical ratio up to 1:4 when needed). Assist with evening routines including personal care and meal preparation. Administer medications as required. Transport clients to medical appointments and activities, and to job sites. Support based on the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and other duties identified in yearly planning. Expectations Must be a team player with a positive attitude and respectful behavior at all times. Patience is required. Annual Physical and Flu vaccine required. Qualifications High School Diploma. Relevant experience is a plus. Valid MD Driver’s License with 2 points or less. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). Salary & Schedule Salary: $18.00/hour. WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM, in the Baltimore area. Schedule: Monday to Friday.
