As an HVAC Technician Helper, you will work alongside our HVAC service technicians to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial equipment. Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience. Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with performing assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in commercial and industrial settings on various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipmentAssist with preventative maintenance tasks and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as neededAssist with diagnosing causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components as needed.Use your HVAC skills and experience to assist with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to maintain systemsComplete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld deviceWork independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time framePerform other related duties or special projects, as assignedEducation, Training, Licenses and/or CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred1 or more years' experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on commercial mechanical equipment preferredEPA universal certification preferredOSHA 10 hour preferredAdditional RequirementsMaintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitudeRequires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.Complies and promotes company Safety PolicyInitiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.Regular and punctual attendance.
