Responsibilities Design and planning of architecture to support project goals. Develop large‑scale complex applications deployed to a distributed architecture. Assist development teams in activities such as load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Design highly scalable databases and develop applications against a relational database. Utilize expert knowledge of J2EE and Java development to troubleshoot technical issues (error messages, software bugs, performance). Communicate proactively with the development, QA teams, and management to anticipate configuration management issues/process and project issues. Seek opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes. Ensure that all best practices and enterprise standards are followed. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (or 8 years of additional relevant technical management experience may be substituted for education). 5+ years experience analyzing, designing, and implementing integration solutions using J2EE technologies or related technologies. 8-10 years experience with multiple programming technologies, including Java, XML/XSLT/WSDL, Spring/Hibernate, Web Services. Strong skills designing highly scalable databases and developing applications against a relational database. Hands‑on experience developing message‑oriented integration solutions with Java. Key technical experience in areas such as J2EE, XML, Web Services, and SOA. Experience with testing tools and techniques such as JUnit, Cucumber. Experience with NoSQL database stores such such as MongoDB is strongly desired. Thorough understanding of Scrum/Agile. Experience working in a fast‑paced, agile environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven team player.
