Job Description
A finish carpenter specializes in the installation, repair, and fabrication of interior woodwork and decorative elements in various building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial. This role involves crafting detailed components such as trim, doors, cabinetry, molding, and stairs, demanding a high level of accuracy and craftsmanship. The ability to read plans and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision is essential.
Responsibilities

• Install interior trim such as baseboards, casing, crown molding, and wainscoting.
• Hang interior and exterior doors, including hardware installation.
• Build and install custom cabinetry, shelving, and built-ins.
• Install stair components like treads, risers, handrails, and balusters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power tools.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and fits within project timelines.
• Repair or replace damaged woodwork.
• Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in construction and carpentry.
• Expertise in finish carpentry and cabinetry.
• Skilled in installation and door installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in custom cabinetry building and installation.
• Knowledge of stair component installation.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with project teams.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
