Medical Optometrist

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Optometrist to join our healthcare team in Hutchinson, MN. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including medical diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular diseases and conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Location: Hutchinson, MN. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health. Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and infections. Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments as appropriate. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers for patient referrals and co-management. Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in optometry and ocular disease management. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure to practice optometry in Minnesota. Experience in medical optometry and ocular disease management preferred. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
