Position: PM&R Cancer Rehabilitation Physician

OverviewOur organization, in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time physiatrist specializing in Cancer Rehabilitation to join our expanding team.
This role focuses on delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services tailored to patients with various cancer diagnoses, both during and after their treatment journey.
The selected candidate will engage in consultative and outpatient care at our UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, collaborating with a vibrant community of clinicians and researchers passionate about cancer care within the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general rehabilitation services with an emphasis on cancer care.
- Engage in both inpatient and outpatient management of patients facing cancer and related rehabilitation needs.
- Participate in teaching, research, and administrative leadership opportunities.
- Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is required.
- Strong organizational, communication, teaching, and leadership abilities are essential.
- Fellowship training in cancer rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Possession of a current Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility to obtain one is necessary.
- For an Associate Professor appointment, a minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrated scholarly productivity in research, teaching, or administrative roles is expected.
- For a full Professor appointment, at least 10 years of experience and a proven record of national or international recognition in the field is required.
- Evidence of scholarly contributions, including teaching, academic service, publications in peer-reviewed journals, and successful funding acquisition, is essential for tenure track positions.
