We are conducting a confidential search for a Senior Demand Planner to join a growing manufacturing company in the Austin area.

This is not a forecasting-only planning role.

We are looking for someone who can take customer demand and sales forecasts and connect them to what actually needs to happen across inventory, materials, production, capacity, warehousing, and ultimately customer delivery.

The right person will be highly analytical, comfortable digging into the numbers, and able to identify where demand and operational reality are starting to move apart.

You may see a forecast that doesn't make sense. Inventory may be building where it shouldn't. Materials or capacity may not support what Sales is expecting. The ERP may tell part of the story, but you may need to dig deeper to understand what is actually happening.

What You'll Be Doing
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical performance, customer demand, sales input, trends, and other business drivers
• Translate demand into inventory, material, production, and capacity requirements
• Analyze forecast accuracy, inventory levels, shortages, excess inventory, lead times, and production constraints
• Identify gaps between what Sales expects and what Operations can realistically deliver
• Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Warehousing, Finance, and leadership
• Help strengthen the company's S&OP/SIOP planning process and create better visibility across the business
• Use ERP/MRP data, Excel, and analytical tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Develop reporting and KPIs that help the organization make better planning decisions
• Get beyond the report and understand why the numbers are moving
• Communicate findings and recommendations to people ranging from the manufacturing floor to senior leadership
• Help improve planning processes as the company continues to grow

What We're Looking For
• 4+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory planning, S&OP/SIOP, or a closely related area
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on demand forecasting and analytical experience
• Understanding of how demand impacts inventory, materials, production, capacity, and customer delivery
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills
• Ability to work across departments and influence decisions without direct authority
• Comfortable working in an environment where every process and system may not already be fully developed
• Able to move between detailed analysis and the larger business picture
• Comfortable working on-site in the North Austin area

Nice to Have
• Experience NetSuite preferred
• Experience within a high-mix or configurable manufacturing environment
• Power BI, SQL, or other analytics/reporting experience
• Experience helping build or improve planning processes rather than simply operating within an established one

You won't inherit a large planning team or a perfectly mature planning environment. You will have the opportunity to help strengthen how the company connects demand, inventory, supply, manufacturing, and customer delivery as the business grows.
