Locums - Redding, California General Cardiology Opportunity

Clinical Role

Join a busy outpatient cardiology practice providing comprehensive general cardiology services in a collaborative clinical setting. This long-term locums opportunity offers an excellent weekday schedule with no hospital responsibilities and flexibility for one full-time physician or two providers sharing the assignment.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: End of June/Early July 2026
• Assignment Length: 6+ months

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (includes one-hour lunch)
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Full-time schedule of 4-5 days per week
• Client will consider two physicians working two weeks per month each

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Setting: Outpatient cardiology clinic

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient general cardiology care
• Evaluate new and established patients
• Develop and manage treatment plans for cardiovascular conditions
• Review diagnostic studies and laboratory results
• Coordinate ongoing patient care with referring providers
• Complete documentation using Cerner EMR

Patient Volume:

• Approximately 20 patients per day

Procedures:

• No procedural responsibilities
• 100% outpatient general cardiology

Support & Technology

• EMR: Cerner
• Dedicated Registered Nurse (RN)
• Medical Assistant
• Clinic Supervisor
• Collaborative outpatient practice environment

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiology - Required
• Board Eligible candidates will not be considered
• Active California medical license - Required
• Completion of an accredited U.S. or Canadian Cardiology fellowship - Required
• Residency and fellowship training must be accredited by one of the following:
  • Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
  • American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM)
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
