Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with Trauma Level II experience for a night shift travel assignment requiring a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:30-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 5 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Proficient in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and central line care/management
• Experience administering emergency medications, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors
• Skilled in procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and emergency response
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of critically ill patients
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for the local rate
• Returning travelers must have a one-year separation before returning to this facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
