Manager, Business Insights - Hybrid based in Dallas, TX

Job Summary Oversees a team of analysts and supervisors that prepares standard and ad‑hoc reports, interprets data, and presents key trends and important findings, enabling product line leaders to turn them into actionable insights and improved performance. Serves as the interface between Analytics and product line leaders. Directly involved with action planning for improvement of employee engagement survey scores, team communication, and employee development. Supervisory Responsibilities Conducts interviews, hires, trains, plans, assigns, and directs work of direct reports; appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, addresses complaints, and resolves problems in accordance with guidelines, policies, and applicable laws. Direct Reports Analytics Supervisor and Analyst I, II, III, & IV. Indirect Reports Analyst I; Analyst II; Analyst III. Responsibilities Oversees the analysis and reporting function for multiple product lines, gathering business requirements, translating them into technical and business strategy, directing analytical requests, and communicating with leadership across product lines. Performs ad‑hoc reporting of high complexity and leads projects across multiple product lines. Works proactively with the team to create efficiencies in data retrieval and analysis, improve information quality and data integrity, and ensure proper documentation of all reports. Provides leadership to the analytics team (5–20 staff) by sharing strategy, system knowledge, and important communication, and by coaching and guiding team members and clients. Leads beyond Analytics within Conifer, accepting responsibilities outside the normal department functions when needed. Qualifications 4‑year college degree in Business, Accounting, IS, Engineering, or 8+ years of related experience. Healthcare experience. Advanced leadership skills with a proven track record of leadership experience. Expert data gathering, analytical, and data visualization skills. Independent, logical thinker with a strategic view of reporting offerings and the ability to translate clients’ business requirements into technical and business strategy. Experience making presentations to product line leaders, directors, and executive leadership across multiple product lines. Strong teamwork, communication, customer service, interpersonal, time‑management, mentoring, and QA skills. Advanced knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and multiple Conifer product lines. Advanced knowledge of relational database management systems such as AS/400, Showcase, MS Access, MS SQL Server/MySQL, and reporting systems. Advanced SQL language skills (creating/optimizing queries and stored procedures). Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience with VBA, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or similar tools is a plus. Intuitive ability to anticipate customers’ needs and help them define reporting needs. Physical Demands Must be able to work in a sitting position, use a computer, and answer telephone calls. Work Environment Office work environment.
