Locums Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Cape Girardeau, MO (MO License or IMLC) Why This Role Balanced schedule of clinic and operating-room coverage Ongoing assignment authorized through April 2027 APP support available while taking call Multiple providers may be considered Epic EMR Assignment Details Start Date: October 1, 2026 End Date: Ongoing; currently authorized through April 1, 2027 Weekly Schedule: - 2.5 clinic days - 2.5 operating-room days Setting: Outpatient clinic and inpatient surgery Patient Volume: Approximately 25 Äì30 patients per shift Call: Beeper call concurrent with clinic coverage Call Support: APP available to assist Admissions: Required Trauma Designation: Level IV EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 60 days Temporary Privileges: Unavailable Hospital Privileges: Required Requirements Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon Sports Medicine fellowship training or relevant experience Active Missouri license or IMLC eligibility Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS Proficiency in arthroscopy Proficiency in total hip and knee replacement Ability to provide clinic, surgical, and beeper-call coverage Clinical Details Provide outpatient Orthopaedic Sports Medicine care Perform arthroscopic procedures Perform total hip and knee replacements Shoulder, hip, and knee revision experience preferred Provide beeper-call coverage while seeing scheduled clinic patients Collaborate with an APP during call Supervise APPs as required No hand, peripheral nerve, spine, resident-supervision, or teaching responsibilities
