Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our dynamic laboratory team in Ohio. As a Medical Technologist, you will perform essential laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and care of our patients. Working with a team of healthcare professionals, you will use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate and timely results. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about laboratory science and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and other diagnostic areas.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and quality control procedures.
Analyze test results, document findings, and communicate results to physicians and healthcare teams.
Prepare specimens and reagents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory instruments or procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, including infection control and proper handling of hazardous materials.
Participate in quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and audits.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field.
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent certification.
Valid state licensure (if required in Ohio).
1-2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods and diagnostic procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
Ability to work independently and make decisions based on lab results.
