About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role Experience must include telemetry and medical-surgical nursing Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Experience with telemetry remote monitoring Experience with bowel obstruction, colostomy, and ileostomy care Knowledge in feeding tube care and management Experience in pre/post hemodialysis management Familiarity with renal failure and blood product administration Skills in central line blood draws and peripheral line care/management Proficient in phlebotomy and PICC line management Ability to start and maintain IVs Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry specialty, You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. You will care for patients with diverse medical diagnoses. Your role will include interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them effectively. You will monitor patients remotely in telemetry and respond to any changes promptly. You will manage bowel obstructions and provide colostomy care. You will administer medications, including blood products. You will be responsible for central line blood draws and managing peripheral IVs. You will also conduct phlebotomy and PICC line management. You will provide education and support to patients and families. You will comply with isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. You may be required to float to different units as necessary. You must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
