Position Overview

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of control systems for automated production equipment. This includes controls architecture, electrical design, programming, and supporting system builds through testing and commissioning.

You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, project engineers, and production teams to ensure systems are functional, efficient, and built to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for custom automated machinery
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, robotics, and vision systems
• Support controls architecture development, including system layouts and device integration
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, software documentation, and system designs
• Collaborate with mechanical and project engineers to ensure seamless system functionality
• Assist in the selection and integration of: 
• Sensors and instrumentation
• Servo motors and motion control systems
• Pneumatic control components
• Third-party devices (e.g., leak testers, welders)
• Support machine assembly, debug, testing, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and system optimization

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in control systems engineering, automation, or related field
• Hands-on experience with: 
• PLC and HMI programming
• Servo and motion control systems
• Robotics and/or vision systems (preferred)
• Integration of automated equipment and third-party devices
• Basic understanding of electrical design and control panel development
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field is required
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in control systems design for automated assembly equipment or similar machinery
