HIV / Primary Care / Infectious Disease Physician Location: Los Angeles, CA This physician will provide comprehensive outpatient care, manage individualized treatment plans, and support patients through prevention, wellness, chronic disease management, and long-term health outcomes. What You’ll Do, Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s medical needs Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, follow-ups, and preventive care visits Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and preventative health strategies Prescribe medications and therapies, ensuring safe and appropriate use Order and interpret labs, diagnostic testing, and imaging as needed Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation Support chronic disease management, preventive care, and overall wellness initiatives Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution Active and unrestricted California physician license Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Infectious Disease , or a related specialty Minimum 2 years of physician practice experience in hospital, outpatient, private practice, or community health settings Strong clinical judgment and ability to diagnose and manage complex patient care needs Proficiency with EMR/charting systems and clinical documentation Excellent communication and patient counseling skills Current BLS certification Preferred Background Experience in HIV/AIDS care, Hepatitis C treatment, infectious disease management, and/or chronic disease care. Background in community health, LGBTQ+ care, sexual health, or underserved populations. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and the psychosocial factors that affect health outcomes. Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations , including men and transgender women.
