Job Title: Cook Location: Binghamton, New York Company: Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Hourly Rate: $16 - $16.50 per hour. Job Summary Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a long-term care facility, is seeking a skilled Cook to join our dedicated team. As a vital member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. With a focus on attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Responsibilities and Duties Prepare meals according to menus and recipes for the day Ensure all food is complete, on time, and ready to be served Clean and sanitize all food areas used for meal prep Take temperatures of all foods served and record Ensure proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment during shift Interact with families and residents regarding meals Attend all mandatory in-services and other education as needed Ensure proper use and care of all dish and glassware, utensils, and equipment used in the facility Participate in culture change, improvements in work environment, and quality of life of residents Work as a team member to achieve excellence in care and attainment of mission of facility Follow dress code for position Follow all dietary and facility-wide policies and procedures Assume additional responsibilities as assigned What We Offer Competitive hourly rate: $16.50 per hour Full-time day shift schedule Opportunity to join a strong and growing company in the healthcare industry Requirements Previous cooking experience required Long-term care experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow recipes and preparing meals according to menus Valid food handler's certification a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
