Financial Customer Service Representative

Position Summary

Location: Remote within 60 miles of Brownsville TX or New Braunfels TX

Pay: $16/hr

As a Financial Customer Service Representative , you will deliver exceptional customer service experiences within an inbound contact center environment. You will provide assistance, in-depth troubleshooting, and decision-making support to ensure quick and accurate resolutions for customers regarding their financial self-service tools and account inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via voice, email, chat, and digital channels regarding account details, product offerings, and general questions using established communication models.
• Educate customers on digital self-service tools and assist with troubleshooting online banking, bill payment services, and mobile applications.
• Proactively identify customer needs to recommend relevant financial solutions and services that add value to their lives.
• Consistently strive for First-Contact Resolution (FCR) while maintaining high-quality work, efficiency, and productivity standards.
• Build collaborative relationships across teams and maintain strict adherence to schedule, attendance, and regulatory compliance standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional technical support or mobile banking troubleshooting experience is preferred.
• Experience:
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous banking experience is required.
  • Minimum of 6 months in a digital service or customer support role required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong technical acumen and comfort with digital banking platforms, web browsers, and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
• Proficiency with standard software applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a passion for helping people.
• Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to learning evolving trends in digital financial services.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Must have a quiet, private and secure space at home away from others.
• Ability to sit, and view computer monitors for extended periods.
