Prep Cook OpportunityTASTE is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our Commissary Kitchen team. This role is essential to ensuring the consistency, quality, and efficiency of our prepared food offerings for retail locations.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, process, package, and stock food products according to established standardsFollow daily prep lists and recipe guidelines with precisionUse basic knife skills and kitchen tools to complete prep tasks efficientlyMaintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environmentAssist in kitchen restocking, deep cleaning, and organizationWork collaboratively with fellow associates to meet daily production goalsQualifications:Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practicesStrong interpersonal skills and a positive team attitudeWillingness to complete all required training (orientation, food safety, product knowledge)Culinary/kitchen experience is preferred but not requiredSkills & Abilities:Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructionsComfortable performing basic math (weights, measurements, conversions)Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills in a kitchen settingAbility to read and understand simple written documents in EnglishEffective verbal communication in small group or one-on-one settingsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and turn throughout the shiftMust be able to use hands and fingers to handle both raw and cooked foodMust be able to reach with hands and arms between 6–72 inchesAbility to taste, smell, and hear at both close and long distancesMust be able to lift and move at least 30 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionallyMust be 18 years of ageMust have reliable transportation
