Job Summary:
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is available in Alton, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care within a medical and neuro intensive care environment, supporting critically ill adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Alton, Illinois
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Specialty Name: Intensive Care Unit
• Experience Required: 2 years minimum clinical experience in ICU settings
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, including holidays and weekends as needed
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (MO: submit without license ok; requires MO or compact license, no issuance if tied to another compact state. IL: license in hand required at time of submittal.)
• Additional Qualifications: Experience with vents, IV starts, telemetry, arterial line management, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, ventilator management, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), CVA/Stroke management, and infection prevention procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in ICU, Neuro ICU, or similar critical care units, familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records.
• Additional Information: The nurse will work holidays and weekends as needed.
