Electrical Sales Representative

Outside Sales Representative (Electrical Distribution)

Fort Myers, FL | Territory: Marco Island to Sarasota

We're a well-established, privately held independent electrical distributor serving commercial and industrial electrical contractors throughout South Florida! We're seeking an Outside Sales Representative to own our Southwest Florida territory, running from Marco Island north through to Sarasota. The role is based out of Fort Myers, with flexibility to live anywhere along that corridor.

This is a true account-ownership role: you will hold every account across the full territory, with commission earnings that ramp as your book grows. The company is known for innovative approaches to Electrical Contractor needs, responsiveness, and long-standing relationships. Inside and Outside Reps have direct access to leadership and none of the layers or bureaucracy of a large national distributor. Our ideal candidate is a relationship-driven electrical sales professional who knows the local contractor community, understands the commercial construction cycle, and wants long-term professional stability within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

Own and grow every account across a Marco Island to Sarasota territory, building relationships with commercial and industrial electrical contractors throughout Southwest Florida.

Sell across a broad electrical portfolio including wire, conduit, pipe, lighting, and switchgear, with power distribution packages as a major growth driver.

Partner with inside sales and switchgear quotations teams on pricing, lead times, and delivery to win and execute major project bids.

Build pipeline and pursue upcoming commercial and industrial projects across the territory, with commission earnings that scale directly with the business you develop.

Qualifications:

3-10+ years of outside sales experience in electrical distribution, with manufacturer, rep agency, or contractor backgrounds also considered.

Established relationships with electrical contractors in the Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, or Sarasota markets and a proven record of growing a book of business.

Strong organizational, communication, and in-person cold calling skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Product Knowledge: Commodities such as wire, conduit, pipe, lighting, as well as Switchgear and more complex power distribution sales experience (across any major manufacturer such as Square D, Eaton, Siemens, or ABB).

Join us:

Join an established independent distributor where contractor relationships and product expertise drive the business. You will own the full territory, work with direct access to decision makers and the backing of an experienced inside team, and see your earnings climb as you build your book. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced outside sales representative seeking full territory ownership and real commission upside, mentorship and long-term stability. If this sounds like a fit, we encourage you to apply today.
