Dimensional Quality Assurance Technician Role Snapshot

• Company: Star Staffing (onsite with a manufacturing client)
• Location: Santa Rosa, CA
• Type: Temp to Hire
• Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour + shift differential
• Schedule: Multiple shifts available

• Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to verify product meets specifications.
• Use precision instruments (e.g., calipers) to check critical dimensions.
• Record inspection outcomes and quality metrics accurately.
• Identify nonconforming material and communicate findings promptly.
• Execute product rejection, sample retention, and rework processes per procedure.
• Perform final inspection of reworked parts when needed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly inspection area.
• Participate in production meetings and share quality insights.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of Quality Control/inspection experience.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
• Blueprint/drawing interpretation skills.
• Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to work solo and collaboratively.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

• SPC fundamentals; ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 familiarity.
• Background in medical device manufacturing and/or plastic injection molding.

• Standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally; more than 20 lbs. frequently.
• Occasional climbing; exposure to typical manufacturing environments.
