Divisional Resource Development Director

The Salvation Army is seeking an experienced Divisional Resource Development Director in the Arkansas/Oklahoma area to lead, manage, cultivate, solicit, and steward the major gifts program in the division.The Salvation Army operates in communities across the United States. We are committed to meeting human needs wherever we can by providing food distribution, disaster relief, rehabilitation centers, anti-human trafficking efforts, housing for the homeless, children’s programs, and many other programs.What We Offer:We recognize the importance of supporting our employees and their families through a comprehensive benefits package, including:Competitive salaryCorporate expense card for business-related expensesCompany vehicleCompany-issued cell phoneReimbursed business travel expensesMedical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement benefitsProfessional development opportunitiesGenerous paid time offKey responsibilities:This Divisional Resource Development Director position will lead, train, and mentor a team of professionals to raise funds to enable the mission of The Salvation Army in the Arkansas/Oklahoma area.The candidate will develop and nurture current and prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, government agencies, and corporations in an assigned geographic region of the Division.Respond to inquiries and communicate with donors, advisory organization members, Salvation Army employees and leaders.The position has direct oversight for a team of professionals and will be responsible for training, mentoring and accountability of its members.The role is based in Central Oklahoma and requires regular travel throughout both states, including occasional overnight travel and participation in Territorial and National conferencesA Bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required) from an accredited college or university (preferably in a related field of study) AND five years’ experience performing progressively responsible fundraising work in a charitable organization with demonstrated successful major donor fund raising experience preferred,Experience in leading a team of fund-raising professionals.Proven history of establishing and maintaining strong long-term donor relationships.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Track record of achieving goals.Prior experience with a donor management system.Bona-fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ):This position requires an active Christian faith in harmony with Salvation Army doctrine and practice.Candidates should recognize that The Salvation Army is a Church and agree that they will do nothing as an employee of The Salvation Army to undermine its religious mission.Licenses and Certifications:Valid State Driver’s LicenseCertified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) or Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive (ACFRE) is preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr The Salvation Army
