Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fire and explosion investigations to determine origin and cause.
• Perform detailed scene examinations, evidence collection, and documentation.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive investigative reports.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, attorneys, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide expert testimony during depositions, mediations, and court proceedings when required.
• Manage multiple investigations efficiently while meeting project deadlines.
• Adhere to industry standards, best practices, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in fire investigation and origin-and-cause determination.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage investigations from assignment through completion.
• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• IAAI Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI)
• NAFI Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (NAFI-CFEI)
• NAFI Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (NAFI-CVFI)
