Sales Development Executive

The Sales Development Executive will build new enterprise business by identifying high-value prospects, developing tailored J.B. Hunt solutions and guiding customers from initial outreach through implementation. This role aligns internal teams around a long-term customer strategy, then transitions mature accounts to the appropriate sales team for ongoing management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate new business leads through data insights, sales tools, cold calling, networking and other prospecting methods.
• Consult with prospects to understand business needs, define scope, develop solutions, submit proposals, negotiate contracts and close business.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to launch solutions and establish mutually agreed implementation plans.
• Set clear implementation expectations and monitor account health, including customer KPIs, revenue quality, growth opportunities, contracts and payment terms.
• Develop a long-term account growth strategy and opportunity roadmap for transition to the ongoing sales team.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Three to four years of transportation, logistics or related experience
• Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record that meets J.B. Hunt standards

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, communications or a related field
• Three to four years of transportation, logistics or related experience
• Two to three years of direct sales experience
