Unit Summary: A team of over 200 associates form the Multidisciplinary and dynamic Emergency Department Team- Physicians, Physician Assistances, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, Secretaries, Peer Recovery Coaches, Registrars, pharmacists, social workers, case managers etc. 36 beds and sees nearly 40,000 patients per year. Only hospital in all of Carroll County (population nearly 170,000) Cardiac Intervention Center and Primary Stroke Center- designated by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems Adult and Pediatric Forensic Nursing Program for victims of sexual assault Committees- ED Education, ED Best Practice, ED Retention and Recognition and more!Summary:Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
