Who We're Looking For:

The Category Specialist is responsible for supporting the supply chain management and optimization of a specific category for sourcing and procurement. This role involves analyzing market trends, assisting and/or leading the development of category sourcing strategies, leading and/or supporting supply chain projects including supply chain optimization, cost savings, and problem-solving activities, and onboarding/exiting vendors. Collaborate with various teams to ensure the success of the supply chain.

About the Role:

• Lead the supplier selection and qualification projects through RFI and RFQ processes. Lead the negotiation and establish OEM Supply Contract and/or Distribution Agreement with Suppliers.
• Assist and/or lead the development of category sourcing strategies.
• Lead and/or support supply chain projects including supply chain optimization, cost savings, and problem-solving activities.
• Lead vendors' onboarding/exiting activities.
• Collaborate with cross functional team to ensure the success of the supply chain.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field with 5+ years previous experience in category management, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Understanding medical devices and industry regulations.
• Willingness to flex work hours as necessary to engage with global teams and supply partners.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions.
