Assembler 1

Contractor will be on a 9/80 schedule. Salt Lake City, Utah is looking for an Assembler 1 has the primary responsibility to assemble products per work instructions. This is an entry level position with training and support provided to ensure successful assembly of product.

Core responsibilities are:

• Read work instructions, verify work instructions match assignment.
• Learn new work instructions as required.
• Collect required materials from bins.
• Set up workstations per work instruction.
• Assemble parts and inspect own work as instructed.
• Complete required training in a timely manner.
• Assist other manufacturing staff with their duties as requested.
• Assist with other projects as requested by a member of management.
• Perform equipment maintenance and calibration as required in work instructions.
• Verify work instructions match assignment.

Basic qualifications are:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and understand Device/Work instructions.
• Ability to understand verbal work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a repeated basis.
• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)/color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors; depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
• Able to succeed in highly regulated compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellence.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance.
• Ability to carry out tasks through detailed written or oral instructions; basic computer skills.

IPC soldering certification preferred; soldering skills required.

Ability to read/write/communicate in English language.
