Job Title: Senior Java Software DeveloperLocation: Ireland (Remote)Our client, a leading global healthcare technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Developer to join their software engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a patient information and healthcare data platform supporting healthcare providers and customers worldwide.The successful candidate will design, develop, and enhance enterprise-level software solutions that securely manage, process, and integrate high volumes of patient and clinical data. This role is suited to an experienced Java developer with strong backend, cloud, and architecture experience who enjoys working on complex, scalable systems within an Agile environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications supporting a cloud-based healthcare data platformDevelop scalable backend services for the secure processing, integration, and storage of patient and clinical dataContribute to software architecture decisions, ensuring applications are reliable, resilient, and scalableBuild and enhance cloud-based applications deployed globally using AWS and KubernetesDevelop APIs and integration services connecting healthcare systems and software platformsDesign and optimise solutions using SQL and NoSQL databasesContribute to event-driven software solutions using technologies such as Apache KafkaSupport DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, and system improvementsCollaborate with software engineers, QA, DevOps, product owners, and technical stakeholdersParticipate in Agile Scrum development processes and provide technical guidance through code reviews and mentoringKey Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years’ Java/J2EE development experienceORHigh School Diploma/GED with 9+ years’ Java/J2EE development experienceStrong experience developing enterprise-level, high-volume applications in cloud environmentsProven experience with Java development, object-oriented programming, and modern software engineering practicesExperience designing scalable backend systems and distributed applicationsExperience with cloud platforms, preferably AWSExperience deploying applications using Kubernetes and container-based technologiesStrong SQL and NoSQL database experienceExperience developing APIs and integrating complex software systemsKnowledge of CI/CD practices and automated software delivery pipelinesExperience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, IntelliJ, and AnsibleStrong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDesirable Experience:Experience developing healthcare, medical device, clinical, or patient information systemsFamiliarity with healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, or X12 transactionsExperience with Apache Kafka or other event streaming technologiesExperience working within regulated software environmentsExperience working in Agile Scrum development teamsFor a confidential discussion and more information on this Senior Java Software Developer role, please contact Jamie View email address on click.appcast.io 645 0761
