Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including Ortho Trauma, Craniotomy, and Trauma Level II, and required Epic proficiency for a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• Position is based in an Operating Room within a hospital setting
• Works in a General OR and Hybrid OR environment
• Trauma Level II facility
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00am–7:30pm
• Weekend requirement based on unit need
• Potential on-call obligations include approximately 2 weekday call shifts every 6 weeks and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 12-hour day shifts) every month and a half — pending final confirmation
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required — hardstop requirements include Ortho Trauma, Craniotomy, and Trauma
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Two professional references from supervisory positions held within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Surgical specialties include orthopedics, neuro/spine, trauma, general surgery, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, bariatrics, robotics (Da Vinci Xi, Mako), ENT, ophthalmology, and more
• Robotic surgery experience includes Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical Systems
• Equipment experience includes electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Steris systems
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the 13-week assignment; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront
• First-time travelers with the required 2 years of OR experience are welcome to apply
• Pending licenses considered on a case-by-case basis
