The incumbent in this position is responsible for conducting compliance inspections (routine, follow-up, and complaint) of assigned solid waste and construction stormwater facilities; receiving and investigating complaints; initiating and preparing enforcement documents; conducting enforcement conferences; completing monthly reports; and maintaining databases on all assigned permitted facilities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRCP020 – Environmental Compliance Specialist 1 Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geology, Engineering or other closely related field from an accredited college or university.RCP021 – Environmental Compliance Specialist 2 Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geology, Engineering or other closely related field from an accredited college or university. AND Two (2) years of professional job-related experience in environmental protection. OR One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Environmental Compliance Specialist 1 (RCP020) or equivalent position.RCP022 – Environmental Compliance Specialist 3 Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geology, Engineering or other closely related field from an accredited college or university. AND Three (3) years of professional job-related experience in environmental protection.
