About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 3 years of Cardiac telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required. License: RN license required Certifications: BLS & ACLS (AHA only) Must-Have: Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Cardiac telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience are required. A RN license is necessary, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. The position involves day and evening shifts, totaling 12 hours, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Monday through Friday shifts are required, with every other weekend. The traveler must pass a telemetry test before being cleared to start. The daily census in the unit is approximately 23. Patients may include adults experiencing issues such as myocardial infarctions, heart failure, or post-cardiac procedures. The unit provides expert care for patients with coronary artery disease and management of dysrhythmias. Checklist includes cardiac telemetry, arterial line management, and monitoring of invasive devices. Support from interdisciplinary teams is available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The culture promotes collaboration and encourages participation in shared governance and quality improvement efforts. Travelers are required to float to other areas as needed. Locals are not accepted for this position. Candidates must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty they are applying for. Pass/fail testing is required with strict criteria based on telemetry rhythm identification. The hospital is a Magnet-designated facility recognized for excellence in patient care.
