We challenge "the way it's always been done" and are always looking for better ways to serve our guests and each other.If you're the kind of kitchen star who loves prepping ingredients, keeping the line running smoothly, and helping chefs turn every dish into a masterpiece, step into the action and apply today!Pay rate: $16-$22Role type: non-exemptEssential Job Duties· Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and marinating, following recipes and portion guidelines.· Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste.· Organize and stock ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth workflow during meal service.· Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation in all the kitchen areas, including equipment, countertops, and storage areas, following food safety regulations.· Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure food quality and freshness.· Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, labeling prep items, receiving supplies, and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies.· Follow all safety procedures.· Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow.· Assist with opening and closing procedures.· Assist with dishwashing duties as needed.· Other duties as assigned.Qualifications· Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume environment.· Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.· Must be available to work weekends and holidays.· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Physical Requirements· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time.· Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.· Must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.PopStroke is an Equal Opportunity Employer.PopStroke participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
