We are an Affir… Superior Energy Services iscurrently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, TX . The Senior Accountant performs complex accounting functions with respect to periodic closing schedules to include cost reviews, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation Essential Duties and Responsibilities Executes complex journal entries, accruals, and financial transactions during the month-end close process in strict compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting standards. Analyzes manufacturing work order costing, investigates labor/material variances, and provides detailed gross margin analysis on manufactured products Performs monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting Partners with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve complex transactional discrepancies and ensure accurate, timely transactions Audits inventory, manufacturing entries, and trial balances to identify inconsistencies, implement corrective actions, and report findings Provides/performs ad-hoc analysis and/or assignments at management's discretion The above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified; nothing restricts the company's right to change, assign, or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time or for any reason.
