RN - Bluegrass Pediatrics and Internal Medicine - Outpatient Clinic

RN – Bluegrass Pediatrics and Internal Medicine – Outpatient Clinic (7427-1613) Georgetown Community Hospital, a 12 minute drive from Lexington, KY, is searching for a Registered Nurse to join our Bluegrass Pediatrics and Internal Medicine outpatient clinic. This is a full‑time position and you will be a member of a highly skilled team of nurses, physicians, medical assistants, and technicians servicing our community. Responsibilities As an RN you will ensure delivery of patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. As an RN you would perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Qualifications Associate’s Degree ADN from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree BSN or higher preferred. Current unencumbered license by KY Board of Nursing. Being a Nurse requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
