Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 Experience: Preferred experience in an acute care facility License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required - AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification is required - S.T.A.B.L.E Certification is required - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification is required - Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification is required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred Description: Focus on growth and technological expertise since 1974. Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients or assigned groups of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop plans that prescribe interventions to attain outcomes. Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify desired outcomes for patients or patient situations. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
